Introducing Flora and the natural edge bowl

well, it's been a while since i've blogged but i've been thinking about it lately.   So many things to do and to think, who has time to be on line or in line all day.  This blog was about Surfing and I want to keep it about surfing except my life has changed so much in the past few years.  I went Surfing a few days ago but I wasn't in the water long.  The off shore wind I had heard about turned on shore and the waves were blown out and crappy so I got 2 and got out.  Coffee at bird rock rosters and home again to finish wood turning.  I'll post some of that.

and this is Flora the Cat

I say I still about surfing because surfing was a driving force in my life and I don't like forget about what it means to me and how important it is.   This winter I didn't surf as much as I should have and that needs to change.

SunSet Cliffs

Well, it's been a long while since I posted a blog so since I got some good waves down at the cliffs today I thought I'd update a few things. I finish the Carlos Dolz Special last semtember and had it glass at Moon Light Glassing sometime in October. Then we moved and winter set in so I have not gotten that board in the water. It's very heavy, about 65lbs and so I'm waiting for a small day to take it out. The board is on display at the San Diego County Fair from June 11th to to July 6 so if you get a chance go Check it out.

I really enjoyed being in the water today and even though I dropped and dinged (kook) my board on the reef it was worth it because I haven't been out at the cliffs in a good while and well I really needed that. I may go again tomorrow with a different board.

taking shape

I'm so tired right now. it's a real joy working on this board. It's really begining to look like a surf board. It's still solid and very heavey. getting close to cutting the chambers.

I can't believe the amount of saw bust that off that thing after planning.
